Canola (Brassica napus L.) belongs to the genus Brassica from the family Brassicaceae, which is known to contain greatly diversified plant species. Canola, also called rapeseed, ranks only behind soybean and palm oil in global production, cultivated worldwide for oil production and considered as one of the essential sources for biodiesel fuel (Shokri-Gharelo and Noparvar, 2018).
