Twenty-one QTLs have been detected for heading date, plant height, spike length, number of spikes, spike weight and grain yield/plant. QTLs were distributed on ten chromosomes of 1A, 2B, 2D, 3A, 4A, 5A, 5D, 7A, 7B and 70. Many of those QTLs were not consistent with those detected at Yokohama, Japan. The QTLs in 20 chromosomes were uniquely associated with yield and yield components and offer the greatest potential for marker-assisted selection, in breeding for wheat improvement.
