Subject(s): Online resources: In: Mansoura University Journal of Agricultural Sciences 2006.v.31(2)Summary: Biochemical genetic polymorphisms were investigated in the Egyptian and Carniolan races and their Hybrid genotype. Esterase isozyme bands showed that, whereas Est-C2 band appears in common among all populations studied and cannot be considered as a genotypic marker, Est-A1 band was restricted to the Egyptian race. However, Est-A2 band appeared in common in both the Carniolan and the Hybrid indicating a closer genetic relationship between them.
