In: Minufiya Journal of Agricultural Research 2003. v.28(2)Summary: The soil of Fayoum Depression could be classified to three orders, i. e., Vertisols , Aridisols and Entisols; according to Soil Survey staff, 1999. The Vertisols is occured in the middle of the Fayoum Depression and have been developed on the low terraces and flood plain of Nile alluvial. Also these soils could be classified into sUbgroup of Typic Haplotorrerts, Typic Gypsitorrerts and Typic Calcitorrerts.
