In: Mansoura University Journal of Agricultural Sciences 2008.v.33(9)Summary: The present study endeavors to screen metal pollution in sewage water and canal water in Abu-Rawash, Nile water around alumisr factory Helwan, lsmalia canal water at Abu-Zabbal factory area; soil and plants irrigated by this water in all studied areas, Water samples collected from sewage water after subjection to treatment processes in Abu-Rawash sewage treatment plant at Abuw Rawash area showed concentrations in AI, Cr, Pd and Sa levels above permissible limits under EgyptIan Law 1994 while water samples collected from canal water in same area, showed increased levels of Cr and Sa. The water samples collected from River Nile water showed' concentrations of AI, Se and Cr levels above permissible limits. Water samples collected from El-Ismalia canal showed concentrations of AI, Cr, Pb and Se above the limits permitted by Egyptian Law 1994.
