In: Journal of the Advances in Agricultural Researches 2010.v.15(1)Summary: Thyme plants are perennial herbaceous plants which are cultivated for its seeds and are classified as an edible plant. Two sources of fertilizers (Organic and Chemical fertilizer) were studied. Effects of these sources on the vegetative growth, percentage and the composition of volatile oil of Thyme plants. Using the organic fertilizer gave higher percentages of oil and main compounds of Thyme volatile oil than the chemical fertilizer. Data showed also, that the means of vegetative growth of Thyme plants increased with using the organic fertilization.
