In: Egyptian journal of soil science 2006 v .46 (3)Summary: ADSORPTION of cadmium on two different soils from Egypt (alluvial and calcareous soils) was studied. Data on adsorption isothenns, competitive effects and/or inorganic complex formation of NaCI and Na2S04 were presented. The adsorption was described by Langmuir and Frendlich equations. The maximum adsorption, a, derived from the Langmuir equation was taken to measure the adsorption capacity, while the Langmuir parameter, b, was taken to point out the relative degree of affinity or energy at different cadmium adsorption conditions.
