These rabbit carcasses were collected from poultry butcher shops and different markets in Giza and Kalubia provinces. Samples were taken from muscles and edible offals (liver, heart, and kidneys) and examined bacteriologically for presence of Escherichia coli-Examination of freshly slaughtered rabbit samples for some heavy metals (lead , cadmium and copper) by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer was also undertaken.
