Subject(s): Online resources: In: Egyptian journal of rabbit science 2008.v.18(2)Summary: Forty jive of weaning New Zealand White (NZW) Rabbits, six weeks old with an average live body weight (BW) of757 g were randomly distributed into five equal groups (nine rabbits each). Rabbits were fed jive formulated experimental rations. The IS. ration (R J) was used as a control and contained: 14% clover hay + 8 % bean straw + 20 % wheat bran + 10 % yellow corn + 20 % barley + 22 % soybean meal + 3 % sugar cane molasses + 1.20 % limestone + 0.5 % sodium chloride + 1 % calcium diphosphate + 0.3 % mineral-vitamins mixture. Sugar beet pulp (SBP) was used to replace barley grains at levels of25, 50, 75, and 100 % in the otherfour experimental rations, R2, RJ, R4, and R5, respectively. The results of the present study revealed that the apparent digestibility coefficients ofall nutrients and feeding value ofthe ration expressed as TDN, ME, and DCP were not differed significantly (P<0.05) by substitution ofbarley grains at different levels ofSBP up to 20% ofthe total ration.
