To figure out the grazing value of the natural vegetation in such area and botanical composition. Pasture measurements i.e. density (plant/m2), coverage (%), fresh and dry yield (ton/fed) were determined. The majority of the native plants found in the tested area were annuals and palatable. Superiority of pasture measurements occurred during spring season after the rainfall of the winter season while, the lowest ones were obtained throughout summer season. Sites 6, 7, 8 and 1 were more suitable for the studied plant associations than other sites. Many plant species such as Artemisia, Panican, Retama Hammada, Acacia, Anabasis, Zilla, Thymelaea, Tamarix, Zygophyllum and Fagonia were capable to grow under aridity conditions at Gabal El-Maghara area.
