An experiment was performed in a 2 x 2x 2 factorial design to assess the effects of dietary protein, lysine and total sulfur amino acids in the starting diets for growing Muscovy ducks (1 to 35 days of age). The corn-soy bean meal based experimental diets contained either 22 or 20% crude protein; 1.2 or 1.1% lysine and 0.93 or 0.83% sulfur amino acids. The influence of supplemental amino acids was studied at each protein level.
