Samples of milk were obtained from 39 healthy, exclusively breast feeding Japanese mothers during 1 day to 11 months of lactation. The milk samples divided to five groups based on the lactation period, Gr-1 (1 day to 15 days), Gr-2 (21 days to 3 months), Gr-3 (3 to 6 months), Gr-4 (6-9 months) and Gr-5 (9 -11 months). Milk lipid, whey protein, casein, lactose, total ash and total solids contents were determined before and after massage. Aslo, whey protein/casein ratio and gross energy were calculated.
