Under heavy infestations, defoliations and undersized poorly coloured fruit are produced. It affects the quantity and the size of fruits and also reduces their quality. The eggs are laid singly and stuck to the underside of leaves (Zaher et al. 1973 and El-Halawany et al. 1990).
