In: Zagazig Journal of Agricultural Research 2003.v.30(5)Summary: Efficacy of methomyl (90%WP), methomyl (20% SL), dimethoate (40%EC), monitor (60%Ec) and the mixture of monitor + methomyl (90%WP) against adults of Monacha cartusiana snail was studied as poisonous baits under laboratory and field conditions. Under laboratory conditions the organophosphorus compound (dimethoate 40% EC) was the most toxic compound than the other two compounds. The highest concentration (5%) of dimethoate and methomyl caused 100% and 95% mortality after 21 days of treatment, respectively.
