In: Egyptian journal of horticulture 2002.v.29(3-4)Summary: The current experiment was carried out in the experimental farm of the Arid Land Agricultural Research Unit (ALARU), Ain Shams University, Egypt. The experiment was carried out for two autumn seasons of 2000 and 2001 by using Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) under unheated plastic house with cantaloupe (Cucums melo L.) CV. Regal to investigate the possibility of using the organic manure compostea as a nutrient solution comparing with the conventional nutrient solution. Four combination of organic manure (chicken manure compostea, pigeon manure compostea, inorganic with chicken manure compostea and inorganic with pigeon manure compostea) were tested comparing with the inorganic nutrient solution.
