The present study was designed to carry out comparative evaluation of normal digital flexor tendons in donkeys based on Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasonography and biomechanical properties. Five clinically healthy donkeys were assigned for ultrasonographic examinations of the metacarpus/metatarsus in each limb. These donkeys were euthanized later for MRI and biomechanical examinations. The biomechanical data was compared and statistically analyzed. Utrasonographically. the SDFT was slightly less echogenic than DDFT especially at the proximal metacarpal and metatarsal regions; SDFT usually locate above DDFT in the forelimb; however, in the hind limb the two tendons may be nearly parallel to each others.
