The birds were reared under standard hygienic conditions and fed on corn-soybean based balanced commercial ration. Group 1 was fed on a standard ration and kept as control. Groups 2 & 3 were fed on a diet supplemented with 500 and 1000 unit of phytase /kg ration respectively for 6 weeks. Blood samples were collected from each group at the end of the 3rd and 6th week from the start of experiment. The phytase enzyme supplementation significantly increased body weight and improved feed conversion in groups 2 & 3. The total leukocytic and lymphocytic counts, besides the gamma and total globulin were proportionally increased in groups 2&3 at the end of the 6th week.
