The virus was identified by AGPT, Dot- ELISA using specific reference hyperimmune serum. Reovirus antibodies were detected in serum samples of breeder chickens by solid phase ELISA. Confirmatory diagnosis was applied using experimental infection to one-day-old native chicks.
